The Who, What and Why of the Paw Spa Blog...
Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Angie, owner and and operator of the Paw Spa. We have decided to start a monthly blog to inform, teach and share some of the amazing tools, tips and information I have obtained throughout my journey. Animal care is something I am so passionate about I cannot wait to share my passion with all of you! For my first blog post I wanted to let you know more about me and what you can expect to see here!
Who Am I?
Most of you may know who I am from my Instagram, website or because you are an existing client! However, for those who don't know me, here's a little about who Angie Agar is and why I decided to take over the Paw Spa;
Prior to taking ownership of the Paw Spa, I worked as an unlicensed veterinary technician at South Valley Veterinary Hospital in Osoyoos for over 5 years. I learnt an abundance about animal care and became one of the clients favourite vet technicians. In the spring of 2021, I knew I wanted a change, however I wasn't interested in working without animals. Jennifer (the previous owner) approached me with the opportunity to take over the Paw Spa and I knew it was meant to be. In July 2021, I took ownership of the Paw Spa after several month of working alongside Jennifer. The Paw Spa was nominated for the "Best of the South Okanagan" award in November 2021, just four months after I took over. I have been lucky enough to have inherited such great clients as gained amazing new ones, I truly love what I do.
What this Blog is all about...
For my first blog post I want to give you an idea of what you will expect to see here! This space will be a little bit of everything – topics from animal care tips, grooming information, product reviews and favorites, and much more. My goal for this site is to share the abundance of information, helpful tips and anything else I have learnt throughout my years in the business to hopefully help you!

How exciting, I hope to follow along with you. I had rarely ever taken my pets to a groomer .. until I had Angie start doing my wee Angel ( do not let the name fool you ) and my J.R. Baby went for her first ever clean and coat treatment, I never realized how thick a partial wire coat could get. She was so smooth and shiny when Angie was finished. So not to be outdone, she bathed and clipped my two cats .. it was not a fun job, but the cat I thought would be a difficult one..sailed through and looked great. My very, very Sr cat.. was not so happy..and she was truly a mess..but Angi…
